Frame Uncapping Roller

An uncapping roller is just one of many tools that beekeepers use to uncap the honey frames when extracting honey.

The roller works by puncturing the cell facing so that the honey can be spun out once the centrifugal force of the honey extractor is applied.

The roller is a good alternative to a hot knife as it tends to not permit the novice to gouge the comb. We're personally found it to be effective in uncapping honey frames as it does not require the strength that a hot knife requires.
